这一天，小气财神史高治叔叔（比尔·汤普森 Bill Thompson 配音）正躲在他的金库中，对毕生积攒的来的金币钞票大唱赞美歌。当他兀自陶醉其中时，杜儿、路儿和菲儿（The Mellomen 配音）三个小家伙不合时宜地出现在金库中，他们希望史高治帮他们把钱存起来，并教授他们该如何让存款增加。这可问对人了，史高治向他们介绍了最小的钱币希腊欧宝和最大的硬币石轮，又介绍了从原始社会物物交换到硬币、纸币、支票的发明历史。其中还有许多有趣的数据统计，比如80亿美元可以绕地球四周、每秒捡一张需要32年。当然还有经济学、预算、所得税、投资等方面的简单小知识。是一部值得欣赏、寓教于乐的动画。
本片是小气财神首次亮相，也是沃尔特·迪斯尼去世后公司制作的首部动画短片。
禁止狩猎
这一天，唐老鸭（克拉伦斯·纳什 Clarence Nash 配音）正惬意地享受他丰盛的早餐，墙上挂着一幅他老祖先（Bill Thompson 配音）的照片。照片中，祖先雄赳赳气昂昂，手持猎枪，脚踩着一头大野牛的身上。这个经验丰富的老猎手，眼神中透着敏锐和坚毅。当然，这一切对唐老鸭来说是如此遥远，而且也似乎全然不相关。他悠闲地翻开报纸，看到一则新闻，原来狩猎的季节明天就要来到了。得知这个消息，祖先的灵魂再也无法安然待在画上，他挣脱画布的束缚，钻进唐老鸭的体内，带着孙子并肩前往狩猎场。
时间一分一秒地艰难流逝。清晨，唐老鸭吹响狩猎的号角，一时间枪声大作，炮弹横飞，碧绿青山瞬时间化作焦土……
唐纳德的倒霉日
清晨六点钟，旭日阳光慢慢爬进窗格。闹钟准时响起，而唐老鸭（克拉伦斯·纳什 Clarence Nash 配音）还沉浸在睡梦中。当闹钟声停止时，他精神抖擞地蹦了起来，以最快地速度穿好衣服、做完早餐。原来他早已计划当天去打高尔夫球，何况外面天气如此晴朗，不能辜负这大好阳光。三个小外甥休伊、杜威和路易睡眼惺忪从卧室走出，唐纳德迅速地亲了三个孩子，开门外出，结果暴风雨突然而至。几次三番，唐老鸭放弃了出行计划，失望而归。他的脾气无处可发，全部迁怒于小外甥身上。百无聊赖的唐老鸭坐在沙发上看书，偶然听到诊断早期病症的广播。
在一旁偷听的孩子们，决定利用这个机会好好戏耍一下坏脾气的舅舅……
