Wong’s The Modern Way to Shower is a heady cocktail of politics and perversity. In what might be read as a self-lacerating parody of incel isolation and artistic self-absorption, a discomfiting scene of bathtub-set unfolds on Wong’s iPhone screen.
Poppy animation combines stories about a Buddhist elephant, a social media-addicted chicken and a tree trunk with an insect phobia. Artist Wong Ping was inspired by his own everyday observations.
